At the 2012 ITB Berlin Travel Trade Show, the IHIF sister event, Starwood debuted their new ITB tradeshow booth with a design based on the Starwood Starpoint Connecticut Headquarter's aesthetic.
Starwood brands have each always had a design narrative that identified any given brand look. Oddly enough there was not a 3D aesthetic for the parent Starwood Brand. When moving into the new Headquarters in Stamford Connecticut the Global Brand Design team took on the challenge to design a 3D Starwood branded look and feel.
The color palettes, the materials, furniture styling, graphic styles to even the spatial decor elements, inspired by the idea of the expanding Starwood star seen in the ITB booth, were directly inspired and modeled after the Starwood Headquarters environmental design.
